Essential kit
Given the changeable Scottish weather and the remote nature of parts of the route
there is a mandatory kitlist for the Glasgow-Edinburgh Ultramarathon. Below are
some tried and tested lightweight items of gear. Drop bags can be left at the start of the
race and be collected at CP2 (Falkirk Wheel) if you want to stash extra food, a change of
socks and some snacks. Remember that items on the mandatory kitlist must be carried
at all time.
